  Fortunately I spread things around a bit savings-wise. Of course, it's possible that one of the other fine establishments I'm with could also go belly-up.

The first time that ~~ever I saw your face~~ I saw that pic I guessed it was Denmark, Norway or Sweden, and the sun is shining, looks a nice place, I read that it is very expensive.

Seems your first £50k is protected as the UK Government aim to bale out the Iceland Bank so hopefully you should recoup some of it - like my old Uncle used to say spread it around and share the profits! (Believe it was called carpet bagging when people put their money into different building societies which they hoped would then pay out with profitable shares)

Me I've had Premium Bonds since their inception ................
